NEW PATIENT CENTER

What To Expect

We want to do our best to treat others the way we would want to be treated. We strive to be transparent, fair, and compassionate.

We will expect you to fill out an accurate health history and report all your medications and dosages. We also have a general consent form which explains many of our policies and and a privacy form we will need you to sign. We may need to take radiographs to accurately diagnose and treat your dental condition. We may also need to consult your physician before proceeding with treatment. Therefore, you can expect us to take your overall health into consideration.

We believe in taking a comprehensive approach to dental care. In addition to the above forms, we may need to take pictures, impressions, make notes of previous treatment, or additional radiographs than are usually needed at a recall exam.

At the end of the day, your teeth belong to you. You get to play a major role in the direction of your treatment. You may have more than one option, or you may opt to do nothing at all, but we will always provide our professional opinion and make recommendations based on evidence, education and experience.

We believe prevention is key to good oral health and we can’t monitor your at-home habits every day. We want you to do your part, so that our conversations hinge on your kids and vacation, not plaque, cavities, and gingivitis!

Questions about your dental health, your treatment options, your next appointment, and your financial responsibilities. We will do our best to answer everything clearly and promptly.

 Frequently Asked Questions

We are in-network providers for Anthem BlueCross/BlueShield, Delta Dental, MetLife, Aetna, and Humana. However, if you have another type of insurance, we will file it for you as a third-party.

We offer different types of sedation depending on your age, health history, and dental procedures necessary. We can do nitrous oxide conscious sedation, also known as “happy gas,” or oral sedation, which involves taking a pill prior to the procedure. For more invasive procedures, we offer intravenous sedation, which is a deeper level of sedation in which you are conscious and maintain your protective reflexes, but you are essentially in a very relaxed, sleepy state.

We would be happy to evaluate children of all ages, starting with their initial introductory visits around age 1 or 2. We would like your children to be “introduced” to dentistry in a fun and stress-free manner, in order to build on that mindset for the future. Keep in mind, also, that many children can absorb and reflect the anxiety you feel about the dentist. Nitrous oxide is very commonly used on children to alleviate stress during dental procedures and we feel it is very safe and beneficial. There are some situations in which a pediatric dental office may be better suited to treat your child. In these cases, we will discuss with you in-depth before initiating a referral.

Your insurance card, if you have one, and a list of any medications you may be taking and their respective dosages. Additionally, your physician’s name and phone number is helpful in some cases.

Currently we are accepting new patients and will likely be able to make your appointment within a very short time frame. If you are in pain, we will make every effort to see you the same business day.
